Abigail Barrios works as the Financial Accountant for the New York office. Prior to joining SDSN, she worked as a Senior Accountant at Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute Inc. (PHI) a non-profit organization working to improve long-term services and support for elders and individuals with disabilities, as well as improve the job quality of direct-care workers.
She also worked as the Comptroller for the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition, Inc. (NWBCCC), a non-profit grassroots social justice organization. At NWBCCC, she was responsible for the administration of the accounting department.
She received a BBA in Accounting from Pace University, completed the Institute for Not-for-Profit Management Executive Education-Middle Management Program at Columbia University - Business School, and the AICPA Certification - Not-for-Profit Certificate I. She speaks English and Spanish.
