Jessica received her Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School at the George Washington University and her Master’s degree in International Education also from the George Washington University. Before joining SDSN, Jessica worked in international student services and graduate student recruitment at various higher education institutions in the U.S. and Mexico. Jessica's research has focused on the intersection between migration and education and she advocates for access to quality education for all, in line with SDG 4. Jessica's work at SDSN focuses on promoting education for sustainable development (ESD) and understanding how ESD can be incorporated into higher education systems. She has been published in the Journal on Migration and Human Security, University World News, Research Handbook on Migration and Education, and is a co-editor and author of the book Accessing Quality Education for Refugees: Local and Global Perspectives.
