The SDSN Networks Program actively collaborates with local and regional partners across university and research institutions, civil society, governments, and the private sector to drive impact and mobilize SDG solutions.

Examples of recent Networks Program partnerships and projects include Universities for Goal 13, an international team competition created through an alliance between the SDSN and Siemens Gamesa; SDSN’s University Presidents Meetings, a series of convenings amongst university presidents to share insights on the role of universities in advancing the SDGs; and SDSN's Global Solutions Forum (GSF), which brought together sustainable development experts from around the world to showcase local SDG initiatives.

Universities for Goal 13

Universities for Goal 13’ is an annual competition, supported by the SDSN and Siemens Gamesa, in which students from selected universities work across disciplines to produce creative solutions for the energy transition and environmental sustainability.

University Presidents Meetings

Since 2020, the SDSN has convened University Presidents worldwide, UN and government representatives, along with experts from regions around the world, to discuss the role of their universities in supporting sustainable development and strategies for achieving the SDGs through education, research, and institutional commitments.

Global Solutions Forum (GSF)

SDSN's Global Solutions Forum (GSF) brought together sustainable development experts from around the world to showcase how they are implementing local initiatives that are advancing the SDGs. The four editions of the GSF have successfully showcased cutting-edge transformations for the SDGs to an international audience and strengthened collaborative opportunities for action among local implementers from around the world.
