SDSN GERMANY

SDSN Germany mobilizes its members and leverages their strengths to help realize the SDGs through: 

Education

Educating on issues relating to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through lectures and seminars at different universities and other educational facilities.


Regularly publish blog posts on sustainability and host expert events and high-level political dialogue sessions to promote ideas and policy recommendations relating to sustainable development.


Awareness and Engagement

Collaborating on publications relating to the SDGs and to SDG implementation progress such as the Europe Sustainable Development Report.


Engaging media and journalists to disseminate policy recommendations developed by the network. Additionally, SDSN Germany encourages its over 45 members and partners to collaborate on projects related to SDG implementation.

Solutions

Publishing policy papers and op-eds on science-based sustainability solutions to the Federal Government and to Parliament, but also increasingly to the broader public.


Generating policy recommendations, i.e. solutions, in various formats within our network of experts at the science-civil society-policy interface.

At the 2023 International Conference for Sustainable Development (ICSD) held at Columbia University in New York alongside the UN General Assembly (UNGA), the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and Siemens Gamesa announced the winning project, ‘E-Gora: The Energy Marketplace,’ of the second edition of Universities for Goal 13, a global competition promoting university talent in the fight against climate change.
