SDSN Philippines mobilizes its members and leverages their strengths to help realize the SDGs through:  

Education

Integration of sustainability education through various meetings with member institutions


Help integrate sustainability education by discussing which SDGs fit to their universities. For our member universities, we are also planning to hold webinars based on the specific SDG their institution is currently tackling

Awareness and Engagement

Raising institutional awareness by organizing stakeholders fora and workshops on sustainability with host institutions. The workshops that were established when we partnered with GIZ as we are planning to continue promoting the manual on strengthening Academe-Business-Government (ABG) partnerships to address the SDGs

Solutions

Collaborations and idea exchanges through discussions and awareness-raising on solutions for sustainability across the network

On April 19 2023, the SDSN networks of the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand jointly organized a webinar entitled “Incubating Sustainable Solutions” for university and high school students who are exploring to pursue a lead role in sustainability in their respective communities. The webinar featured three sustainability champions from different countries.

On 13 March 2023, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Philippines (SDSN PH) organized its public plenary for the year entitled “The Evolving Role of Universities in Sustainability'' held concurrently at the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) and via Zoom. For this year’s public plenary, SDSN PH partnered with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), as well as the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability (AIS) and the John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM) of AdMU.
