Education

SDG101+, a training program offered to organizations that need capacity-building and consulting on the SDGs.

Providing education on the SDGs and Sustainable Development through the Thai SDG Academy (future project).

Awareness and Engagement

University awareness and engagement through the "Reinventing University for the SDGs" project, a nationwide capacity-building and networking project that promotes the roles of universities in SDG localization and Education for Sustainable Development.

Public awareness through "SDG Watch," a project on SDG knowledge communication through website and social media, covering domestic and internal SDG implementations, best practices and actions, and green and inclusive technologies and innovations. 

Solutions

Monitoring regional sustainability challenges through the "Area-needs" project, using the SDGs as a framework and foresight techniques to engage local experts to identify and prioritize ongoing SDG challenges.

Identifying gaps and co-creating new strategic direction and solutions to sustainability challenges through "Thailand Sustainable Development Forum (TSDF)," a multi-stakeholder dialogue platform.

Informing policy makers through the "Health Equity Dashboard" (future project).

SDSN Thailand host institution, Thammasat University, was honored to host the annual conference of the Thailand Research University Network (RUN) on January 22 - 23, 2024. The conference was held at the Grand Palazzo Hotel Pattaya in the Chonburi Province, Thailand with the theme of “enhancing research impact for sustainability transformation.” The conference started with a declaration ceremony of the cooperation between the Thailand Research University Network (RUN) and SDSN Thailand. RUN’s eight university representatives (five of which are SDSN members), Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Prince of Songkla University, Chiangmai University, Khonkaen University, Kasetsart University, Naresuan University, and Mahidol University, each addressed their future collaboration with SDSN Thailand. Professor Dr. Sanit Aksornkaew, the Chairman of The National Economic and Social Development Council and SDSN Thailand Leadership Council, represented SDSN Thailand in delivering a speech of appreciation on the collaboration with RUN.

On December 13th & 14th, 32 administrators from 16 public and private universities in Thailand visited the host institution of SDSN Malaysia and SDSN’s Kuala Lumpur Secretariat office, Sunway University. This visit is part of “A Sustainable City Experience: Study Tour of Sunway University” - a two-day study tour program co-organized by both SDSN Thailand and SDSN’s Kuala Lumpur Secretariat office.
