SDSN Benin mobilizes its members and leverages their strengths to help realize the SDGs through:

Education

Integrating education on the SDGs into the higher education curriculum in Benin.

Disseminating information and educational resources on sustainable development to academic and research institutions in Benin.

Awareness and Engagement

Improving engagement of the private and public sectors in the implementation of the SDGs through the organization of SDGs domestication workshops with various stakeholders.

Identifying and disseminating local case studies of successful implementation of the SDGs.

Promoting research on local solutions to the implementation of the SDGs in Benin, through support to researchers and the publication of scientific articles.

Solutions

Implementing innovative solutions stemming from research results for the whole country, with a focus on the SDGs and local development challenges.

Organizing seminars, dialogues, and debates to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among stakeholders in Benin around the results of innovative solutions.

SDSN Releases 2023 Benin Sustainable Development Report and Launches New National Network in Benin

Alongside the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), SDSN released the second edition of the Benin Sustainable Development Report, analyzing the performance and trends of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the country and policies to achieve them. The SDSN also announced the launch of SDSN Benin, co-hosted by the University of Abomey-Calavi, Abomey-Calavi, Benin; and the Directorate of Research and Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Cotonou, Benin.
