Education

About a third of the network's members are teaching and research institutions committed to the SDGs, constituting an important pool of expertise new members can draw on.

Awareness and Engagement

SDSN Brazil’s annual conference convenes academia, civil society, and business organizations. It focuses on SDG performance in the country, the network’s and the members’ ongoing initiatives, and partnership opportunities.

Solutions

SDSN in partnership with the Sustainable Cities Institute (ICS) launched the Sustainable Development Index for Brazilian Cities (IDSC-BR) which constitutes a tool for evaluating the implementation of the SDGs in 770 Brazilian municipalities using the timeliest data available in the country’s national data sources. The objective is to orient municipal policy making, define references and targets based on an indicator framework and facilitate SDG monitoring at the local level.
